BOONE COUNTY, Mo. – Two men are in custody after Boone County deputies attempted to serve warrants on one of them Wednesday afternoon.

A release from the Sheriff’s Office says deputies went to a residence in the 2100 block of Sycamore Hills Road to serve warrants on Shawn Ingram, 44. When Ingram fled the house into a wooded area, additional officers were called to assist. Ingram was arrested and found to have additional active warrants. Ingram faces charges of first degree tampering with a motor vehicle, distribution of a controlled substance, three counts of resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident. The other warrants were for receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.

The other man at the residence, Gerald Summers, 52, of Columbia is held for alleged possession of methamphetamine.
