The ribbon cutting for Liberty’s Flintlock Flyover will take place Thursday morning. The Missouri Department of Transportation reports U.S. Congressman Sam Graves, along with state and local officials and community members will be present to celebrate the safety enhancements.MoDOT originally set the date for the twelfth of August, but had to reschedule.
The project connects Northeast Flintlock Road to Liberty Drive, and includes a paved bicycle and pedestrian path. Roundabouts have also been constructed in the area.
The event will take place Thursday at 10:00 a.m. on the south end of the new flyover bridge, near the roundabout at Liberty Drive and Flintlock Road.

LIBERTY – The ribbon cutting for the opening of the Flintlock Flyover in Liberty has been rescheduled for Thursday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m.
U.S. Congressman Sam Graves, state and local officials, community members and the Liberty School District will join the Missouri Department of Transportation to celebrate safety enhancements and opening the roadway to traffic before the beginning of the 2013 school year. The event will take place on the new roadway near the roundabout at Liberty Drive and Flintlock Road.
Although the road is open to traffic, work continues on the project through December.
