Florida man injured in jet ski accident in on Little Niangua in Camden County

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A mishap with a water skier and a jet ski sent a man to an area hospital Sunday evening.

The Missouri Water Patrol responded to the .5 mile marker of the Little Niangua arm of the Lake of the Ozarks at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, troopers found that a 21-year-old Stafford, Fl. resident, Zachary O. Stanton, had been injured when he attempted to jump a wake created by the vessel towing him.

Stanton landed on the watercraft, reportedly injuring his leg. His injuries in the report were listed as moderate.

Stanton was taken by private vehicle to Lake Regional Hospital to be treated.
