Former Coach Returns to Court Tuesday

A preliminary hearing is Tuesday morning for a former teacher and basketball coach at an area high school.  David Lawson, 35, is accused of having sex with a student.  The Glasgow resident was charged on Apr. 3, 2012.  He was released from custody two days later after posting a $5,000 bond.  Lawson was reportedly employed by both the Fayette and Keytesville School Districts prior to moving to Northwestern High School in Mendon.  Proceedings are scheduled to get underway in Chariton County at 10:00 a.m.
