Henry County Sheriff J. Kent Oberkrom announced Sunday morning that former corrections officer, Devin C. Williams is facing charges in Henry and Audrain Counties on allegations of paying money to female prisoners regarding an incident in March of 2012. According to that report, Williams allegedly payed “hush-money” to other female inmates after he reportedly fondled a female prisoner during a transfer to a prison in Vandalia, Missouri.

Williams, who had worked at the correction center for approximately four months, resigned his position in June of last year for an unrelated incident, shortly after, he was questioned concerning the crimes he’s now charged with.

Williams is facing a charge of delivering or possessing an item in a jail that is prohibited in Henry County and sexual misconduct in Audrain County. Williams is due in Henry County Associate Court Tuesday for a criminal setting at 9 a.m. The Clinton resident does not yet have a scheduled court appearance in Audrain County.
