Former inmate due for show cause hearing over unpaid jail bill

CALDWELL COUNTY, Mo. — A show cause hearing is scheduled Thursday afternoon for a Moberly man who pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia in 2012.

Corey L. Carr, 36 will appear at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Caldwell County over the cost of a 233 day jail sentence back in September of 2012.

According to court documents, Carr was sentenced to county jail, given credit for time served and ordered to pay the cost of his incarceration.

Carr has served one seven day sentence for contempt in 2015 for failure to make payments as agreed.
