Four detained following police chase through Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. — A police pursuit in Boone County came to a halt in Hallsville late Sunday night.

According to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, a sheriff’s deputy was traveling on St. Charles Road near the intersection with Doziers Station Road near Columbia around 9:33 p.m. Sunday when a vehicle was located that officials believed had been involved in an earlier incident.

The nature of the incident the vehicle was involved in was not disclosed.

A vehicle stop was attempted however the driver failed to yield to law enforcement and a chase ensued.

The pursuit snaked through northern and eastern Boone County before a tire deflation device was used near Elizabeth Street and Highway OO in Hallsville.

Four people in the vehicle were arrested without further incident.

Ashley Suggett, 32, of Holts Summit, was identified as the driver of the vehicle. She is charged with one count each of resisting arrest and driving while suspended.

Three others, 19-year-old Foristell resident Carley Littleton, 36-year-old John Calvert, of Columbia and Zachary Bradley, 21, also of Columbia, face preliminary charges for resisting arrest.

Formal charges are currently pending. Future court dates have not yet been set.
