A multiple car accident in Jackson County sent four Lee’s Summit residents to the hospital with serious injuries just after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports 80-year-old Deloris Wilson of Lees Summit was Southbound on Interstate 470 just south of the 11 point two mile marker when she attempted to merge into the path of 22-year-old Cialan Rhodes Hood, also of Lees Summit. Hood collided with Wilson, traveled across the median and hit 71-year-old Gordon Whitfill of Lees Summit head on.
