DCP/ACRE Enrollment Deadline Approaches
The deadline for enrollment in the Direct and Counter-cyclical Program (DCP) and the Average Crop Revenue Election (ACRE) Program is June 1, 2012. In accordance with the 2008 Farm Bill, this year’s payment factor is increased from 83.3% to 85% of base acres.
Producers may still elect the ACRE program for 2012. And remember, if ACRE was elected in a previous year, that election still stands for 2012. Those who have ACRE farms must certify their 2011 production data by July 16, 2012.
Important Deadlines Approaching
Several important program sign-up deadlines are approaching, as well as the annual crop reporting requirement. Sign up for DCP and ACRE programs end on June 1. All wheat and small grain planted acreage must be reported by July 2 and all other crops must be reported by July 16. Complete details on each program can be found here.
