CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. – A counsel status hearing is scheduled today, for a Fulton man accused of discharging a handgun in the local McDonalds.

Police identified  Brian Keith Heathcock, 20, by surveillance video from the store. The probable cause statement says that Heathcock pulled a handgun when he got into an argument with another patron in September of 2018. Heathcock is accused of striking the man with the weapon before discharging the weapon inside the business.

Heathcock is charged with felony assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, property damage in the first degree, receiving stolen property and unlawful possession of a firearm. There is also a misdemeanor count of assault in the fourth degree.

Court in Callaway County begins at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon.
