Sergeant Brian Kelley, originally from Brookfield, will be laid to rest Monday following a battle with colon cancer. He had served Missouri residents as a trooper since 2001 working in Troop H and later in Troop A where he was a member of the SWAT and Honor Guard.
Friends and family, known as Sergeant Kelley’s Troopers, have joined forces over the past several months to offer support and raise funds for Kelley’s medical expenses.
His wife and two children suggests memorial gifts be made to the Brian Kelley Memorial Scholarship Fund. The award will be presented annually to a Brookfield graduating senior who plans to study in the field of criminal justice. Checks made payable to the Brian E. Kelley Scholarship Fund may be sent to the UMB Bank at P. O. Box 387 Brookfield, MO 64628.
