Gallatin restaurant owner facing kidnapping, sodomy and assault charges

DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo. —¬†Formal charges were filed Wednesday, October 10 against the owner of a restaurant in Gallatin.

Salvador Hernandez, Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail

36-year-old Salvador Hernandez is charged with one felony count each of second degree kidnapping, first degree sodomy and third degree assault.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office said in a report that the victim was incapacitated when she was attacked by Hernandez on Monday, October 8.

Hernandez, who owns Mi Mexico in Gallatin, was arraigned Thursday morning and given an October 16 court date.

He remains jailed at the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail, where he is held without bond.
