The Board of Alderman of the City of Glasgow will conduct a special open meeting on Monday. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk with Glasgow City Administrator Kevin Atwood.
The group will gather to discuss a proposal to drudge one of the city’s lagoons for their FEMA appeal. According to City Administrator Kevin Atwood, the offer is from a company called Terracon.
“We had gotten a FEMA/SEMA grant to clean the sludge out of the bottom of the lagoon, due to the flooding in 2010,”said Atwood. “When we got in there, to do the drudging there was more material in there than what we thought, and funds ran out pretty fast.”
The board will meet at 5:00 p.m. at 102 Market Street in Glasgow.
