A governor’s warrant was issued this week for a Warsaw woman who was arrested in Adams County, Colorado.  Authorities in Missouri are demanding that Cherise Malan, 22, be extradited to Saline County, where she is wanted on one count of abuse or neglect of a child.  The charges stem from an incident that occurred in December 2012, according to online court records.

A governor’s warrant is issued when a defendant declines to waive their right to a formal hearing and, instead, insists authorities go through the extradition process.  Saline County deputies are being sent to Colorado.

Malan’s bond has been set at $10,000.
