Collector-Treasurer Barbara Harris says you can still take part by getting to the courthouse early Monday. ”If anyone is interested in being a possible bidder they can stop by…the collector’s office at the courthouse, and we’ll give them an assigned number, and they can begin filling out their paperwork,” Harris said.  “There’s a list available at the office. The tax sale is for properties with three years of back takes, so the minimum bid will be those taxes and the fees and costs to get it ready for the sale,” she adds.

According to Missouri laws, properties that owe back taxes for three years are offered in the first sale and those that are four and five years delinquent will be in the second and third sales respectively.

The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the courthouse, 700 Main Street, Trenton, Mo.
