ST. JOSEPH, MO – A St Joseph resident pleaded guilty Wednesday to fraud.

According to US Attorney for Missouri’s western district, Tim Garrison, Ashley Garr, 33, illegally transferred more than $207,000 from a client in 2016. Garr worked as a home health aid for the victim. A plea agreement will require that Garr pay restitution to the victim, as well as the IRS.

Sentencing has not yet been passed, but Garr is subject to up to three years in prison for false tax returns, and two years for aggravated ID theft.
