A Blue Springs man faces a minimum of 15 years in prison following his guilty plea this (Mon.) afternoon to charges of producing child pornography, attempted distribution of child porn and possession of child pornography. Christopher R. Lockhart, 30, was charged last spring following an investigation by a Clay County Sheriff’s Detective.  According to court documents that detective downloaded numerous files from Lockhart’s computer that was linked to a peer-to-peer file sharing network. Of those files, over 160 matched known suspected child porn. During a search warrant executed at Lockhart’s home and on his computer, child porn was confirmed in his possession including a film produced by the felon. Under Federal Law Lockhart faces up to 60 years in federal prison and fines totaling $750,000. Sentencing will be conducted at a later date.
