Guilty Plea in Kidnapping Case

A man from Rogers, Arkansas arrested in April of last year changed his plea in a kidnapping case June 24th in Saline Co.

Salvador Vargas, 41, initially plead not-guilty on charges of one count of kidnapping, two counts of assault, two counts of armed criminal action, two counts of attempting to steal a motor vehicle, and one count of driving while intoxicated.

Witnesses at the scene report Maria Vargas was hit by his vehicle after exiting it, and Salvador Vargas allegedly attempted to hit her a second time.

Vargas changed his plea to guilty and the state has scheduled his sentencing for September 23rd at 1:15 p.m.
