A Nelson resident arrested in 2012 has pleaded guilty to a sex crime and will serve time in prison.

Cody Williams, 20, entered his plea in Saline County Court Monday to one count of first degree statutory rape, involving sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 14.

In June of last year, Williams was found outside the bedroom window of a 13-year-old female in the early morning hours by the female’s mother.  During questioning, the juvenile claimed they had had sexual contact on multiple occasions.

Williams was sentenced by Judge Richard Brent Elliot to 7 years in the Department of Corrections, and given an immediate 120 shock incarceration that began immediately. Williams was also sentenced to seven years in prison Monday on a separate case where he entered a guilty plea to one count of theft and stealing. Both sentences are to run concurrent.
