Two lines of thunderstorms, and several confirmed wall and funnel clouds, including a confirmed touchdown of a tornado, moved through the listening area Thursday afternoon, causing damage, but thankfully spared life and limb.

Damage was reported in Daviess and Grundy Counties as authorities confirmed that a few homes were damaged by at least one tornado. Several funnel clouds were also spotted across the region, with one KMZU listener reporting what appeared to be a small ropy cloud descending near Hardin around 3 p.m., but no touchdown was ever confirmed.

Further north, twisters were reported by law officers and trained spotters for the National Weather Service near the Grundy County communities of Spickard and Trenton. The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that no injuries were reported.
