Ghosts, goblin’s and other characters will fill the streets in search of candy this Halloween.  Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesperson Tim Hull says it’s important to keep safety in mind as kids wander from house to house.

“Only approach those houses that are well lighted and that they’re familiar with the people that live there.”  He adds “never approach a stranger’s house or a stranger’s vehicle.”

Hull encourages Trick-or-Treaters to only “go to houses with lights on on the outside and (kids) should probably have a flashlight with them.”

Small children should always be accompanied by an adult or an older child.  Parents should also make sure children can walk and see easily while wearing costumes.
