Chillicothe FFA members gain hands-on experience in a variety of farm activities.

Students from the Ag Science I classes at the Litton Agriculture Education Center were having a hands-on learning experience at the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center on March 8, 2013.  The students were learning about animal reproduction in class and then were getting to experience the real thing in person.  A young pig was going to be changed from a reproductive animal (boar) to a non-reproductive animal (barrow).  Students observed the castration procedure on the pig while Mr. Martin (instructor) explained what he was doing and answered student questions as well.  The young pig is the SAE project of Jordan Hall a member of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter.  The pigs are being housed at the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center.
