Press Release from Mayor Bob McCorkendale

The alleged assault case involving student or students in Hardin-Central is under investigation by the Hardin police department and led by Police Chief Ted Kuhlman.  Interviews have been conducted and reports written.  All reports have been turned over to the Ray County Prosecutor.  It will be up to the Prosecutor to look over the reports and determine if a crime has been committed or if charges will be filed.  There has been no one that is employed by or serving the city of Hardin issuing any order or statement to not speak with the press.  Thank you.

The death of a young man by gunshot is under investigation led by Sgt. Stosberg of Troop A.  Missouri Highway Patrol.  I am unable to comment on this as it is still under investigation and no information has been shared.  I am sure Sgt. Stosberg will issue a statement upon completion of investigation.  As far as we know the two cases are not related.  Thank you.
