Hardin Teen to be Sentenced

A Hardin-Central student who admitted to his role in a 2011 assault will be sentenced Monday morning in Ray County.  Jeffery Ellis, 18, was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy in February of 2012. Ellis and three other students allegedly sexually assaulted a classmate in the high school’s locker room, according to police reports. As part of a plea deal, Ellis admitted to attempting to cause physical injury to the victim by “striking” him with a water bottle. Ellis will go before Judge Larry Harmon at 10:30 a.m.
