Jeffrey Ellis

A Hardin teen will be sentenced in a Ray County courtroom Wednesday morning.  Jeffrey Ellis, 18, was originally charged with two counts of Forcible Sodomy.  As part of a plea deal in February, he admitted to attempting to cause physical injury to the victim by “striking” him with a water bottle.  He and three other students are accused of assaulting a classmate in the Hardin-Central locker room.  Ellis will appear at 11:30.

Randy Estenbaum

A second person charged in the case will also appear at that time.  Randy Estenbaum, 18, is facing one count of forcible sodomy, one count of assault, and two counts of sexual misconduct.  He will appear for a criminal setting.  Estenbaum is scheduled to go to trial in June.

Charges have not been filed against the other two students allegedly involved in the assault.
