Harrisonville H.S. Student in Jail

An 18-year-old Harrisonville, Mo. High School student is in the Cass County Jail after he allegedly made threats against the school last week. According to reports, Jacob Vanderecken was suspended last Friday for the remainder of the school year after he reportedly said he would go into the High School and “shoot it up”. Court documents indicate he made the threats verbally as well as on social media networks and by text message. County prosecutors are also looking into allegations admitted by Vanderecken who said he threatened another student with death by decapitation. Vanderecken has been charged with one count of making a terrorist threat and remains incarcerated on a $25,000 bond.
