Health Center Issues “Scam Alert” to Area Businesses

Chillicothe businesses who recently donated money for Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts are encouraged to contact the company, Promotional Specialties International, Inc., to secure a refund.   Public Information Supervisor Ann Burchett says the center canceled their initial agreement with the company Promotional Specialties International.

“Communications with the company were sketchy and we just didn’t hear back from them for a while so at that point we got very leary of the whole project,” she says.

According to Burchett they contacted the business in an effort to get all funds returned to Livingston County businesses.

“The company just told us they couldn’t possibly do that, they were such a huge company,”  she reports, “every business that had donated would have to contact them individually and ask for a refund.”

The health center strongly encourages any business who donated to contact the company at 888-422-6820 to secure a refund.
