CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. – A formal arraignment is expected Friday afternoon for a man accused of discharging a firearm in a McDonald’s Restaurant in Fulton.

The hearing was originally scheduled to determine counsel status for Brian Keith Heathcock, 29, but the public defender filed an entry of appearance on the 16th of this month. Heathcock is charged in Callaway County, with felony counts of assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, property damage, receiving stolen property and unlawful possession of a firearm. There is also a misdemeanor count of assault.

Court documents say Heathcock pistol whipped a man during a disagreement on September 22nd and fired a shot before fleeing the scene.
