A Sedalia woman at the center of a sad and shocking case in Saline County will be in circuit court Monday afternoon for a motions hearing. Lydia Iliff, 33, faces charges of 2nd degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child and tampering with a motor vehicle. Those charges stem from an incident in July of 2012 when Iliff went missing with her then 18-month-old daughter. A few days later Iliff surfaced but was disoriented and without her child. That infant was found a few hours later dead along the banks of the Backwater River from dehydration and heat exposure. Iliff will be in court at 1 p.m.
