Higginsville Prepares for Highway 13 Closure

Officials in Higginsville are preparing for what is scheduled to be a 10 day closure of Highway 13 at the railroad overpass.  While the work has been pushed back previously, it is currently expected to start Thursday, September 5th.  Mayor Bill Kolas said they have experienced some delays on the start date for the project because two different contractors are scheduled to perform the work.  Click to hear Kolas:

After the initial 10 day work period on the overpass, Highway 13 will have one lane open and no detour is expected.
