High Court Awaits Response from AG
Update: A response to a bail request was filed in the Mark Woodworth case Wednesday. Woodworth’s Attorney, Robert Ramsey, filed a motion to set bond last week. The State has filed suggestions in opposition to the motion.
A response to a bail request made by Mark Woodworth’s attorney is expected sometime Wednesday. The Missouri Supreme Court last week ordered Attorney General Chris Koster, on behalf of Warden Larry Denney, to respond to Robert Ramsey’s motion to set bond. Ramsey filed the request after the high court vacated Woodworth’s murder conviction on Jan. 8. Woodworth was twice convicted in the shooting death of his neighbor Cathy Robertson in the 1990s. The State has not officially said whether Woodworth will be tried for a third time.
