The High School Football Season concluded over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend with the Show-Me Bowl in St. Louis.

In all, seven teams were crowned state champs in their respective classes.

The first game to kick off the slate of games Friday morning at the Edward Jones Dome was the 8-man Championship which saw the North Andrew Cardinals defeat the Stanberry Bulldogs 16-13. That would be the closest game of the state finals.

Up next was the Class 4 contest. The Webb City Cardinals defeated the Helias Catholic Crusaders by a score of 28-14.

The next game was between Class 2 teams, the Lamar Tigers and Lawson Cardinals. Lamar claimed another state title by taking out Lawson, 42-0.

Friday evening saw the Blue Springs Wildcats defeat the Rock Bridge Bruins 35-14 for the Class 6 Championship.

On Saturday the battles for Classes, 3, 1 and 5 were determined.

The morning contest was Maryville and Seneca battling for the Class 3 title. The Maryville Spoofhounds had little trouble from the Seneca Indians in a 50-28 rout.

Game 2 was for the Class 1 Title which went to the Valle Catholic Warriors who defeated the Marceline Tigers in a 41-0 shutout.

The final contest of the weekend was a battle for Class 5 Champion. That contest was not a close one as the Lee’s Summit West Titans handled Parkway Central, 51-14.

Congratulations to all the State Champions from KMZU Sports!
