Trooper Robert “Rob” McCormick

The Highway Patrol in Saline County has seen some recent change.  Trooper Robert McCormick was promoted to the rank of Corporal on November 1st.  He has also been designated as Assistant Zone Supervisor of Zone 10, which patrols Saline County.  McCormick joined the Patrol in 1997.

Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the following promotion that was effective November 1, 2012.

Trooper Robert “Rob” V. McCormick has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as assistant zone supervisor of Zone 10, which patrols Saline County. Corporal McCormick is a native of Kansas City and a 1987 graduate of Hickman Mills High School. After high school, McCormick attended Longview Community College, where he earned an associate’s of arts degree. McCormick was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1997, as a member of the 73rd Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Ray and Carroll counties. Corporal McCormick is married to Katherine (Hyde).
