Holden Resident Involved in Accident

A Jackson County accident left a Holden resident with injuries on Saturday afternoon.  According to the highway patrol, John Downs, 70, had come to a stop on Route F at Corn Cemetery Road in preparation to make a left hand turn, when he was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by  Austin Burton, 16, of Oak Grove.  Downs was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center with minor injuries.  Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
