Home health worker charged in federal fraud case

ST. JOSEPH, MO – A St. Joseph woman was charged in a federal indictment Wednesday for home health care fraud. According to federal prosecutors, Ashley Garr, 33, stole account information from another woman she became familiar with through work as a home health care aid.

Garr is charged with wire fraud and identity fraud. She also reportedly used the information in filing false tax returns. A forfeiture allegation against Garr is over $207,000.
