House Bill Would Pressure Extortion Websites

Missouri lawmakers are stepping up pressure on commercial websites that post the mug shots of people who’ve been arrested and demand money to have them removed.

First round approval was given Wednesday to a bill that would require the websites take down the photos for free within thirty days of a request.
