RANDOLPH COUNTY, Mo. — Formal felony charges have been filed against a Huntsville woman on Monday.

After a traffic stop, officers attempted to arrest the driver of the vehicle where Katherine S. Lucas, 40 was sitting in the passenger side. The driver resisted arrest after law enforcement found the driver to be on a suspended license.

The drivers arrest allegedly prompted Lucas to leave the vehicle and attempt to stab the officer with a screwdriver, according to a probable cause statement.

Lucas is formally charged with felony assault in the second degree and felony unlawful use of a weapon.

Lucas is held on a $10,000 cash only bond.

Court dates have not been announced.
