WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee Inc. announced in a press release Tuesday that it has voluntarily recalled its Hy-Vee Spring Pasta Salad due to the potential that it may be contaminated with Salmonella.

20 illnesses were reported in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa, potentially linking back to the salad. All 244 grocery stores across its eight-state region (Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin) received the product and, out of caution, had the product pulled last night.

The product comes in a plastic container with a plastic lid. Affected product expiration date range is between June 22, 2018, and August 3, 2018.

Customers who purchased this product should either dispose of the product or return it to their local Hy-Vee store for a full refund. Customers also may contact Hy-Vee Customer Care representatives around the clock at 1-800-772-4098.
