The Friends of Arrow Rock have come together once again to host the Freeze Off event. If you have a delicious homemade ice cream recipe it is free for you to enter into the competition. Just be sure to have your creamy creation in a freezer and ready to serve. Recipes will be judged by individuals who purchase a $4.00 ticket for tasting and voting. The recipe with the highest number of votes will walk away with top honors, bragging rights and, according to Cathy Borgman, a prize.

All proceeds taken in from tasting ticket sales will go toward the marketing group who helps create and distribute information about the community and their events.

Cathy also mentioned some events coming up in September and October in Arrow Rock. On September 20th the Friends of Arrow Rock are hosting their largest fundraising event called Sip and Stroll. A $50 fee gets you a tour of 4 historic homes in Arrow Rock as well as meals and the silent auction.

Saturday and Sunday, October 11th and 12th will be Arrow Rock’s 46th annual Craft Festival. This is a great time to enjoy the fall weather while immersing yourself in history with presenters, reenactments, entertainment and food. There is a $2 admission fee.
