A Sedalia woman charged with 2nd degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child and tampering with a motor vehicle in Saline County was in court Wednesday morning for a pre-trial hearing. Those proceedings were continued to November. Her jury trial is still scheduled for November 12th.

Lydia Iliff, 33, who went missing in July of 2012 with her 18-month-old daughter, turned up a few days later but was disoriented and without her child. That infant was found dead a few hours later, along the banks of the Backwater River. The cause of death was listed as dehydration and heat exposure.
