Illinois Woman Injured in Livingston County Accident

An accident in Livingston County around 9:30 a.m. Sunday sent a Decatur Illinois woman to the hospital with minor injuries. According to the Highway Patrol, 60-year-old James Braundmeier of Decatur Illinois and 18-year-old Jacob Hester, of Springfield, were both traveling eastbound on Highway 36 when the accident occurred. Hester allegedly overtook the vehicle driven by Braundmeier at a high rate of speed and rear-ended him. Both cars came to a complete stop on the eastbound shoulder. 60-year-old Debra Braundmeier, was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with minor injuries. 18-year-old Mariah Grant of Chillicothe also received minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.
