Road improvement projects have been announced in Howard, Cooper, and Saline counties. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, more than 50 miles of Routes 240, 87, 135, and 41 will receive a seal coat during upcoming months. The low bid for the project came in at $853, 069 and work is slated for completion prior to the end of 2013.
Four roadways in Howard, Cooper, and Saline counties will be improved later this year following the award of a contract by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission at its March 6 meetng.
Belvins Asphalt Construction Company, Inc., of Carthage was awarded a contract to place a seal coat on more than 50 miles of Routes 240, 87, 135, and 41. The low bid for the work was $853, 069.
The construction will take place in 2013. Motorists should expect lane closures.
