Independence Bank Gets Robbed

Two men are wanted in connection to a bank robbery Tuesday morning in Independence.  An FBI spokesperson said the duo walked into the Metcalf Bank on 23rd Street around 11 a.m. and demanded money.

Surveillance photos show the two men were each wearing dark clothing and a white baseball cap.  The suspects are described to be between 5’10” and 6′ tall with a medium build.  Both men also had some facial hair.

The two fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.  They were last seen heading south on Northern Road.

Authorities said no one was hurt in the incident.
