Independence Burglary Suspect Due in Court

An Independence man will go before Judge Schakelford in Lafayette County this Wednesday morning for a hearing. 32-year-old Louis Jones is charged with first degree burglary. He and another man are accused of attempting to enter a home in the western portion of Lafayette County last July where the homeowner shot Jones in the shoulder. Jones is scheduled for a 9 a.m. appearance he has pleaded not guilty. His accomplice, 33-year-old Johnathan Davis of Oak Grove pleaded guilty to one count of first degree burglary in Lafayette County January 22nd.
