Informal charges accompany injuries after crash

MACON, MO – A resident of Huntsville could be charged with careless driving after a two-vehicle accident Sunday evening.

State troopers responded to an incident in Macon County, four miles south of Macon on 63 Highway. A crash report claims Melvin Lancaster, 64, of Huntsville was involved in a crash as his vehicle struck a second vehicle while attempting to pass.

Additional charges in an arrest report, include driving while intoxicated, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lancaster also sustained moderate injuries during the incident, and was treated at Samaritan Hospital.
