Injuries are fatal for Randolph County driver

BOONE COUNTY, MO – A Randolph County resident was among those injured in a multi vehicle crash Friday morning.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol, Kimberly Schumann, 21, died of injuries sustained in a wreck just south of State 124 and 63 Highway in Boone County.  According to an incident report, Schumann’s southbound vehicle swerved to avoid cross traffic, and hit an oncoming vehicle in the passenger side.

Occupants in another vehicle received moderate injuries.  Leah Ensor and Johnathan Sauceda were taken to University Hospital for treatment.

Schumann was not wearing a seat belt according to the report.  An investigation continues into circumstances surrounding the crash.
