Injuries to Madison resident as result of head-on collision

MONROE COUNTY, MO – A two vehicle collision this afternoon resulted in serious injuries for a Madison resident in Monroe County.

According to Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Lucinda Levings, 38, crossed the center line on Highway C, 10 miles north of Centralia. A second vehicle traveling in the opposite direction attempted to avoid the collision, but the two vehicles struck each other head on.

Serious injuries were sustained by Levings who was taken to university hospital. Minnesota residents, Alexander and William Knopick, were also hospitalized with minor injuries.
