JEFFERSON CITY—KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company (GMO) has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust the fuel adjustment charge (FAC) on the bills of its electric customers.
GMO has made two filings. The electric company filed its annual FAC true-up for the period of March 1, 2013 through February 28, 2014 (Case No. ER-2014-0372). In a separate filing (Case No. ER-2014-0373), GMO proposes to adjust the FAC to reflect fuel and purchased power costs for the six month period of December 2013 through May 2014.
For a typical residential customer, GMO states these two filings will result in the FAC increasing by approximately $1.20 a month in the L&P service territory (St. Joseph) and by approximately $2.44 a month in the MPS service territory (Kansas City). The proposed change would take effect September 1, 2014.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than July 22, 2014, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov<http://www.psc.mo.gov> .
