Investigation Into Alleged Child Abuse Results in Arrest

A Trenton resident is in custody following a recent investigation.  Alicia Grimes, 44, was charged with assault after she allegedly choked a minor child during an altercation last week.

Grimes is being held at the Grundy County Detention Center on a $15,000 cash-only bond.  Court proceedings in the case have not yet been scheduled.

Chief Tommy Wright of the Trenton Police Department advises that the Trenton Police Department has arrested Alicia Grimes, 44 years of age, 701 East 19th Street, Trenton Missouri.

According to Wright, the Trenton Police Department conducted an investigation into allegations of child abuse at the Grimes residence. Grimes was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree which stemmed from an incident in which she reportedly choked a minor child during an altercation. The child’s name will not be released.

Grimes was charged in the Missouri 3rd Judicial Circuit, Grundy County, and is being held on a warrant for Domestic Assault-2nd Degree at the Grundy County Detention Center on a $15,000 cash only bond.
