January Brings Progress to Hospital Construction Site

With the cooperation of the weather, a good deal of work was accomplished  during the month of January at the site of the new hospital in Chillicothe.  Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to City Administrator Ike Holland:

Despite the winter season, the corner location continues to be a hub of continuous construction activity.  “About 90% of the steel work is done at the hospital,”said Holland, “We’ve also got about 90% of the concrete work completed.  The final finishings on the plumbing are being put in now.”

With any luck, the next few weeks will be just as productive.  “We’re going to start seeing walls go up at the hospital during the month of February,” said Holland,” There is also a lot more planned for the medical office building during the month.”

The $42 million project should open in early 2014.
